The problem with For Honor's p2p system were the 4v4 modes where people would constantly ragequit causing a host migration. It was honestly perfectly fine in duel and brawl and I had no interest whatsoever in meme modes anyway.

What part of this looks mechanically better than For Honor? Genuinely curious because I don't see a single thing. Also, enjoy your wasteland after a couple of weeks. Games like these don't last long because most people already have an online game they frequent (Dota 2, Siege, etc), and once the novelty wears off it gets dropped. Ubisoft made a lot of mistakes with For Honor, but the reality is people just weren't all that interested in it in the long term. Fans of historical combat will continue to play it because it appeals to them, but they're a niche.

also not necessarily the case, I've had games where either my friend gets dropped first or i do and then the game crashes making it seem like we rage quit except it was the game crashing on us. I'm not saying that every crash or even a majority of them aren't just people raging but there are instances like that where it will look like someone rage quit when in reality the game just crashed on them first and then everyone else.
