What are some more examples of Ludo in gaming? I'm making another one of these images.

Don't, you're too stupid.
Breath of the Wild.
Dark souls 1 for sure.

This. Kino.
Yeah, just because you call 'Kino' something different doesn't change the fact you're using a shitty /tv/ and now plebbit meme.

Nier Automata, Persona's, Demon souls
Kino > Ludo
Why the fuck is deus ex in the middle category? The fuck?
>>385106103
Because it's casual fun without much thought put into its development from a story perspective.

Hello summerfriend. Enjoy your time here.
But if you seriously think Deux Ex has a quality plot, you might be even younger than the typical newfag.

Quick question:
Is this ACTUALLY from the game? Or is it something that some smartass came up and randomly gave it a MGS image and heading?

Does attempting to bully NPC's count as a transcendental experience brought about by deep, meaningful interactions?

Deus ex is the most redpilled game in history. It even predicted 9/11 and how media would change after it.

You literally can't consider 99% of games past the 2nd Gen Ludo.
Once there's any hint of story you have to start settling for a ludonarritive experience.

Wow. OK, thanks a lot. It explains some things.

What the fuck is Ludo?
You should try Hollow Knight, anon. It's pretty fun.
>>385109158
Ludo refers to the "game" part of videogames. It's just a smart term for gameplay.
>>385108568
>>385109158
/tv/ discovered that there are lots of words for "movie" and you can arrange the words in order of quality. (for instance "film" sounds smarter than "flick") You then use those words as tiers. You make the top tier "kino" because then you sound smart for using French words.
Now people are doing the same thing with video games, because the latest buzzword everyone learned is "ludonarrative" because using latin words makes you sound smart.
(ludonarrative is a way of saying "the style" while sounding like you are smoking a pipe in your study with a big book in hand)
Basically reddit.
>>385106103
Because it's a bait image with the worst games on the top and the best games in the lower 2 categories. It says Ludo focuses on gameplay then calls MGS4 Ludo. It's just bait.
>>385109037
>KYS that game is shit in every retard

Don't utter the word "Ludo" until you have experienced Killer 7 you fucking pleb
>>385109676
>"ludonarrative" because using latin words makes you sound smart.
Well, this might have something to do with the fact that ludology is an actual academic field (or more precisely subcategory of anthropology/psychology/sociology) for well over a century. Look up people like Culin or Huizinga.
Also
>(ludonarrative is a way of saying "the style" while sounding like you are smoking a pipe in your study with a big book in hand)
That is actually very wrong. Ludonarrative very specifically speaks about conveying narrative through mechanics of act of play - in other words it's the meaning that is attributed to individual actions or rules. It's specifically associated with the concept of ludonarrative dissonance, which is the problem that arises when actions that you perform in a game, and symbolic/narrative meanings that are attributed to them contradict.
And none of this has anything to do with reddit. The idea of ludonarrative dissonance was coined by Clint Hocking and has been mainly used by game developers and those who follow game development theory, which hardly was reddit back in the days. /v/ and most of general audience really only learned about it from those Errant Signal videos, which then spread it to people like TB, and by that time you'd see it thrown all over the internet, this place just like every other.
I have no idea why these words and terms scare people so much.
>>385109821
...You know that means you're a normie too then right?
Isn't hard putting 1 and 1 together, buddy.

I understand that the game was very thematic: I can respect that. But, every action you took wasn't something divine; except maybe with the Anju-Kafei Quest.
I'll recommend KotOR II with Kreia, although I wouldn't go as far as to say that the actions the player took made that game philosophical and powerful, but it was more of the plot and character of Kreia that made it so.
