>Indie game promises PSX era graphics
>Ends up with PS2 era graphics
Why is this allowed?

If it has wobbly textures, it's PS1.
If it doesn't, it's PS2.
>>385098093
but what game is it and why does it look like a mgs1 clone
>>385098303
wobby and pixelated. PS2 textures are a blurry mess
>>385098934
Copper dreams. Fun you think in MGS because it has some stealth stuff
>intentionally wanting to look like it's rendered by the worst 3d console of it's generation
>>385099340
because indie devs are retarded and don't realize that games didn't look that way because dev wanted them to but rather because of system limitations
>>385099340
This
Obligatory food metaphor
>It's a good thing it tastes like shit, because i made it that way on purpose

It's nostalgia cash grabbing
>>385099062
from the OP thumbnail it almost looked like a mgs1 screenshot with some shit slapped on the right
>>385099340
The Saturn was probably worse, but they all had the same basic problems of no texture filtering and integer-based positioning of vertexes... Or whatever the latest explanation is of why playstation polygons wobble the fuck out and Z-fight into each other.
For reference, left is how MGS actually looks, right is how you remember it
>>385100551
Nah, I surely remember MGS as wobbly pixelated MGS, not as Twin Snakes.
>>385098093
>not on Steam
Enjoy your 3.5 copies, sold, I guess.
>>385100551
left might be wobbly and pixelated but damn is the lighting better, right is just shit green all over
>>385101648
They'll launch it on Steam and GOG at release
>>385101884
>They'll launch it on Steam and GOG at release
That's stupid, because people have a tendency to forget such games that have zero marketing. If this game was available for pre-order on Steam or at least had a "coming in 201X entry", I could have added it to my wishlist now, but now I have to remember it manually and that's an easy way miss the release. The devs are stupid and/or lazy, I've seen smaller budget games announced on Steam years before release.

You can pre-purchase it on their web. But don't worry, I'll shill it when they announce a release data and you can pre-purchase it on Steam
>>385098093
>wanting PS1 era graphic
nostalgiafags are the worst
