Learn to be methodical until you start spotting patterns, then you can start going more balls to the wall

Drone out rooms you are entering, learn to prefire around confirmed corners, mitigate noise when you can, try to hear footsteps.

In terms of characters, they are all pretty decent and you can make anything work with a decent aim, rook is usually a good beginner class since your job takes 1 second

Rook and Sledge are the best beginner characters

This. After sledge for attack. Get Thermite and start learning how to use him for important breeches. He's a valuable OP with an important job that helps you gain map and site knowledge on a basic level. For defense ibwould maybe pick someone like mute after took as it will help you learn where to expect enemies from since you have to somewhat to know drone placement, the ops you use really come down to how you play the game and how fast you pick up how things work.

Look into peekers advantage and become familiar with it and how to abuse it.

I don't really play much PvP anymore but Siege is one of the few PvP multiplayer FPS I still enjoy. It's like the obvious evolution from Counter-Strike which has become stagnant over the years because they're too afraid to touch the old formula.

If you want to play Terrorist Hunt then yes Vegas 1 or 2 is a better choice.

I've been starting to use Twitch and maaaaan is she fun in casual, a lot of people get really twitchy (heh) when they feel being zapped.

Don't focus on learning characters, focus on learning maps. It's much harder and a much more important part of the game. By the time you've wrapped your head around the maps you will have learned plenty of characters naturally through play.

Seriously, 100 hours in you'll still be getting lost once in a while. The areas are huge and complex.

glaz and frost are the best operators out right now, glazscope is broken as fuck and any two bit retard an use it to get easy aces below level 100. Frost is the only solid defender right now, smg that has a nice fire rate, no recoil, and 42 damage with the extended barrel. beyond her god tier gun the frost traps are easily one of the best things in the game right now due to people being fucking dumb and not watching their feet under windows and just generally around the buildings.

-Watch the Pros, you'll pick up on some subtle tricks that will give you an edge

-Use your drones, I used to die all the time as an attacker because I got impatient and didn't drone out an area

-Never use extended barrel or silencers, they are borderline worthless

-Stay with your team, lone wolfing on the other side of the map is a good way to get youself killed

one of the most important things i'd say is to learn the maps and understanding where people are likely to be.
Drone rooms you think might have activity, but you dont necessarily have to spot the enemy, because then they'll know you know that theyre there.
this might be obvious, but play as a team. Even if your not mic'd up, follow you teammates as you progress through the level and try to understand what their doing, you might learn something.

Basically the extend barrel effectdoes not match the in game description, it actually does very little to change damage falloff. If you are going to be shooting from long range anyways you'll want an attachment that negates recoil. The silencer decreases gun damage and only removes the white semi circle that shows people where you're shooting from. The damage reduction means you'll lose gunfights more often and the recoil is horrible. Good players will always know where you're shooting from.

There's no way this is viable in game. Having 4 of your 5 teammates all devoted to clearing one room isn't a good distribution of forces and if you're all going through the door single file, the defenders will just start mowing down the door frame and kill whoever didn't get in first. I get that the different directions of the attackers is meant to spread attention but defenders will notice and focus fire through the choke point before the entire team is in. Maybe in real life where people move quicker and die faster this might make sense but not in siege. Does anyone have video of a team using this in game effectively?

I can't think of a single situation where you'd want to throw his EMP through a drone hole. The radius is pretty good and chucking it through a hole only gives it a chance to get blasted by an ADS.

Extended Barrel isn't good for anything except Frost's gun. The "extra damage" it gives isn't significant until your at ridiculous ranges away. Not worth it at all. The only viable attachments are Comp, flash hider, and muzzle brake. I've played over 1000 hours of this shitty game. Although it's pretty obvious you're trying to b8 here.
