How can manufactures get away with this?

a 1080Ti doesn't require a 1500w PSU

what's a good pre-built if custo is not an option?

Because they like money.

Leave that site.

I did, I'm seeking alternatives

What site was that anyways? I used pcpartpicker when i built mine
i fell for the pc gaming meme. I only use it for computer shit. Still play all my games on console. It was a waste if money senpai. But to each thier own.

I can't do a build this time, it's circumstantial.

I'm upgrading to a new system, this was off the alienware dell site.

I doubt whatever the reason is worth spending hundreds of extra dollars on a slower build. Don't buy prebuilts.
>>
>>385086487
Companies like Alienware, iBuypower, other places that put together gaming PCs exist solely to Jew people as hard as possible, the mark up is insane and they can make up whatever they want because the morons who buy from them are too stupid to know better. It's just what they do and only a moron of biblical proportions would purchase form them.

>>
>>385088535
The pic says 2 i7's and 4 titans, that's at least two systems.
>>
>>385088471
But they're actually reasonably priced for what they are. And they don't have a 1500w psu memed on. That's what you're not getting, shithead.

Alienmemeware

They're still more expensive than building yourself.

?

It's just bad business to purposely crash your own profits for the sake of some dumb fuck on 4chan getting upset about it
>>
>>385088683
Building your own is better and cheaper. That's what you're not getting, shithead. Why dont you go ask your mom for money to buy another $1500 prebuilt faggot.
>>
>>385086652
You can get a good prebuilt but you have to wait for a sale.
You can get stuff like a 7th gen OCable i5, 1060 6GB, 512GB pcie ssd, and 16gb of ram for under $500, just browse deals sites regularly
>>
>>385088809
Used, maybe.

And then you look inside and see the stock cooler they managed to find somewhere, the H110 mainboard and the timebomb PSU.
>>
>>385088898
>timebomb PSU
This is the worst offender. Its made to break down so the retards stupid enough to buy a prebuilt will go out and get another one. repeat forever and rake in the cash
>>

>Why dont you go ask your mom for money to buy another $1500 prebuilt faggot.

>>385089194
You can't even use them for gaymen, Nvidia only allows two cards in SLI outside of benchmark utilities.
>>
>>385089158
You're buttmad because you can't stop spewing projections and rancid diarrhea because someone asked for a pre-built computer. Please, snap your neck. I'm out.
>>
>>385086652
Figure out a custom setup and then let some website or physical shop assemble it for you for $20-$80 if you're too scared of building it yourself
>>
>>385087378
I want to get this just to run Diablo 2
>>
>>385089227
you can't proceed with that config unless you select that 1500w psu
>>

I bet you are. Go tell your mom about how stupid this guy on 4chan was acting while she pours another glass of vodka to try and drown out having such a failure for a son.
>>
>>385086487
I bought a 1000w 80+ PSU four years ago, I'm pretty much set until the next century.

What the fuck do you need a 1500w for?
>>
>>385089438
this bunch of entitled shits on 4chan and the internet.
>>
>>385089663
I wish you could read
>>
>>385089663
If you want to have a totally silent system, you need to get a PSU with around double what you actually need so that the fan never kicks on
>>
>>385089850
What?
>>
>>385089982
Given that it is Alienware, It's most likely just 6 250W power supplies tied together internally. Chances are you can work out better balancing with two 750w PSUs for a fraction of the price too.
>>
>>385089982
Or you could just buy a fanless PSU. Most PCs are perfectly fine with 500W and I think seasonic will soon do 600w.
>>
>>385089438
Literally a pleb and worthless. Can't even be assed to build a better system for himself and invest some effort into something he will probably use for years to come.
>>
Is cyberpowerpc good custom PC?
>>
>>385089982
You'd also have to not use any HDD-s and still the PSU fan is one of the most quiet in systems because of its large diameter. Better to just go with the optimal 60% used under load to save money.
>>
>>385090308
Building yourself is a good custom PC.
>>
>>385089663
What the fuck do you need 1000w for
>>
>>385090615
My old Corsair 450 had coil whine and a faulty fan leading to constant reboots, so I thought about upgrading as the 900 series was about to come out and the 1000w was on sale and oddly cheaper than the 850w class, so I got that.
>>
How much could I sell my GTX 970 for these days? If anyone even buys it due to the stigma of used cards at the moment. I want to build a 1050 TI Mini ITX system
>>
>>385090962
But do you even have SLI or anything that draws a lot of power
650 is already overkill for most setups
>>
>>385091004
150-200

Be aware that you'll get lower performance, and that many miniITX cases can take a 970 no problem.
>>
>>385091004
You might get some bites by virtue of it being old enough to not be a common mining card. Buying a 1050 Ti would be retarded though, just keep the 970.
>>
>>385091112
>miniITX cases can take a 970 no problem
Really? I have the Gigabyte one which barely fits in my current Fractal R4
>>
>>385091107
I ran sli 970s for a while, which is why I wanted a 850w even though I doubt full system load would exceed 500~, but the 1000w was cheaper, which also allows me to be on the safe side for any future upgrades.
>>
>>385091168
It'll depend on your specific ideal case, of course, and I definitly advise to measure your card, but usually miniITX cases just lack height, not depth.

https://pcpartpicker.com/b/CkCypg This guy put a 970 in a node 202.

>>385091470
Yeah I was mostly looking at cube cases because they're the most aesthetically pleasing + compact since I'm going to have to carry it a lot. My 970 is 31cm and this case supports cards up to 34cm. It still looks a bit too big for what I plan though
>>
>>385089154
You could build that, get a 4k monitor, a Gaming mechanical keyboard, several gaming mice, a sound system for under 10k.
>>
Whats a good cpu/gpu combo for 1080p 60fps? Friend asked me to build them one but i havent looked much stuff up in a while in regards to it.
I was debating on either going the ryzen route or either an i7 7700k or i5 7600k but im pretty sure those two are fairly over kill for what its needed for. Also for gpu i told them to wait until the 11 series comes out but if they decided to do it now would a 1060 or 1070 be better for it? I guess a 1070 would be somewhat more 'future proof' but im not exactly sure. Seems like its in the nice gpu place before you get the price hikes.
Lot to ask and im probably better off at /g/ but i figures id ask in a thread thats already up.
>>
>>385092458
>1080p
Just get whatever quad core you want and a 1060 and you'll be fine
>>
Is 3gb VRAM enough for 1080p or should I spend the extra 50 britbong on the 6gb vram model
>>
>>385092667
Spend it. I've already seen >3GB being used, and the 3GB version is weaker in general, cut down chip.
>>
>>385092667
Yes! Open world games especially require a lot of VRAM.
