Games with color coded loot? I want to kit out my character with equipment that has a high rarity but also feels worthwhile.
Good examples:
>Borderlands
>World of Warcraft
>Terraria
Bad Examples:
>Alienation
Loot boxes also count as long as they aren't solely earned through microtransactions.Feel free to post games where the loot isn't graded by color but by something similar.

Diablo 3

Is that game actually good or am I being memed on it? The only game I've played that's similar is Torchlight 2 and I dropped it after like an hour and a half.

Do you like grinding for bigger numbers?
Yes = its good
No = its bad

I think I'll pass. I like when the loot has some form of ability or bonus attached to it aside from just doing more damage.

They have those. Abilities are modified through legendary pieces, but I mean things like 'reaching a higher level' (going to higher dungeon (rift) levels).

this
not only do rare items simply have better stats, but the majority of them have unique visual or gameplay effects that no other items have
Nioh

Fuuuuuck I completely forgot Nioh had loot. I was holding off on getting it because I have such a huge backlog and I shouldn't play such a massive game right now but I think I might just get it.
Mass Effect 3 MP has lootboxes with 4 rarity weapons/characters.
Once you git gud enough for Gold/Platinum you'll be opening boxes every 1-2 games.

>massive game
Nioh's storyline takes about 11 hours to complete.

But if I like it as much as souls I'll want to do almost everything, especially when theres loot.

That and they can have special stats which no other player might have, so when you find something rare it especially shows. The value will skyrocket the more hit stat you have, so what you have can be truly unique.

>I'll want to do almost everything
That only adds about 30 hours to the game.
There's really not that much to do in Nioh, dude.
Not unless you somehow take a ridiculous amount of time to finish most missions.

Thats pretty encouraging then. Pic related are howlongtobeat's listings for Nioh's playtimes.
