In the post game like three of them get alternate vivosaurs you can make them use, but other than that, you're limited to what the game gives you.

The first two games were far better than any pokemon game, even the way you get your monsters was far cooler, it was like the motherfucking DBZ but instead of dragon balls you get sick ass dinosaurs and if you clean them good enough they are also stronger, shit was so cash!.
