Same here OP. I got bored at Hong Kong. I think my mistake was trying to play the game as a stealthy non-lethal agent the whole. I hear it's a lot better going full cyborg killing machine.

I dropped that shit when it seemed like a random encounter could last up to 30+ minutes. Fuck that shit, I want to do other shit with my life as well. I've almost never found a jrpg past the 4th gen that doesn't seem content to waste my time with braindead combat and retarded animu plots.

Pretty fun game, but I hate that you can't view the map before setting formation or even see where on the map you're even placing your units. You also can't change character setups during this formation part, which kinda dampens the strategic aspect of the game.
