Why do people think this game has good bosses when its the same simon says press roll not to die shit repeated more than a dozen times with slightly varied timings? Why do people dismiss the few bosses in the game that actually deviate from this formula as "gimmick bosses"?

Never played it, only ever played Bloodborne after being convinced how great a game it is and how challenging it would be.
My surprise to play a painfully linear, boring, repetitive title, whose only redeeming feature is its graphics.
Zero story, zero music and combat worthy of a late 90's game.
I went in blind and platinumed it 10 days, never having played a Souls game before. I subsequently didn't bother with any others in the series.
