Yep. That's why I'm going to create new monsters and IP, etc. But it's basically going to be the same games combined.

The hard part is figuring out how to put a block kind of building in a Poke'mon game

you've missed the ship buddy. There's a ton of minecraft clones already out there, and anyone interested in a minecraft/pokemon hybrid would just play pixelmon. If you need opinions on how to draw the monsters, then you're not taking your game's monster design seriously enough- I know that it's impossible to compete with pokemon monster designs but monster designs are super important for your type of game and if you have such little faith on what style to choose you should maybe choose something less ambitious.
maybe use colours that aren't so similar to minecraft as well. good luck though, wish I had the effort and ambition to make something like that!

Thanks man. It will be different enough to not look like minecraft, but it will be like Poke'mon. Like being there are no shovels or pick axes. I have most of it done already, but the final "game" part needs to be designed

These two things don't go together, and here's why:

Minecraft is about building and crafting, with a small secondary focus on exploring to find resources.
Pokemon is about exploring large areas to find different pocketmonsters with a slight "crafting" (I'm lumping consumables management, evolution, etc together) element

So if the player can craft and build a home, they end up leaving it behind to go explore for Pocketmons. You'd have to do something totally outside of the Minecraft model and more like a City Manager or other game where you have a Base you can return to at any time (like Fallout 4, or Shining Force, or lots of other games) and upgrade, or a Town you can return to at any time and upgrade.

But that's not perfect because your Base doesn't really matter except to facilitate your adventures; there's minimal reward to autistically building it out or developing it. A completionist might do that in FO4 but that's because there's a huge world that's drawn them in and they don't really want to stop playing even though they've already won.

Maybe you could do a Starbound type thing where you have a space ship (or Airship) that you can travel on and upgrade, but I mean in order to reach Minecraft tier building you'd have to be building Colombia (from Bioshock Infinite), and then having that travel around or traveling on it would be a bit absurd.

Totally agree. Building doesn't need to be in the game's world though. Also there are a lot of options like travelling to build cities, or capturing buildings, or building to specs or designs. In my game monsters absorb energy from the environment, and the buildings contribute to that part of the game.
