She's not playable in anything which is a trait the majority of other Mario girls have over Pauline. Before Pauline's reveal in Odyssey, there wasn't much else besides the MvDK games to go with her that actually made her the contrarian/underdog pick due to the other Mario girls taking the spotlight.

I dunno, I liked the level gameplay in LM2, but I get why people prefer the exploration of LM1.

Dream Team was great, even though it mostly recycled BiS's sequencing where it's Area->Boss->Dream Area->Dream Boss, possibly Giant Luigi battle, rinse and repeat, the gameplay definitely kept fresh.
The scene right before the Giant Bowser battle was the best.
