I defeated Penance without ever farming any luck at all.

Idk what you guys thought about late game party members, but for me Tidus, Auron, and Yuna were the only characters that mattered by that point, unless you wanted to do post game side quests. Wakka could also work, given a good late game setup. Unless you grinded everyone else had skills and stats that made them weaker than the local fuccboi spoony bard. Two tanks, your healer equipped with everything you needed and summons, what's more to ask for?

Her overdrive is just badly balanced. You need a considerable number of spins just to get her damn overdrive to do slightly more damage than regularly casting a spell. For some reason they thought that slapping a massive damage penalty on overdrive casted spells was a fine idea.
