That's probably the biggest downside of the open world structure of BotW, literally zero rising tension throughout the entire game. Hell, I'd say the tensions decreases the more you play. Ganon just sits there and waits for you to beat him.

Every dungeon is shit except Stone Tower Temple. Even the areas getting to the dungeons are not fun to play. The only the thing the game has going for it are interesting writing and art direction. Unfortunately these things do not make a good game.

I also should add that Majora's Mask was one of the first games I ever played. I held it in really high regard and played it a lot as a kid. I finally replayed it when it came out on 3DS and was severely disappointed. I'm still kinda bitter and might be a bit harsh on the game.

I dislike the direction 3d Zelda titles took, and save from the atmosphere of MM carrying the game a bit, I find them all mediocre at their best.

I think BotW is the best Zelda right after LoZ1 (LoZ1 being a masterpiece and the only 10/10 of the franchise). Would have been #1 if they removed what little handholding there is at the beginning , upped the difficulty so the entire game would be the same as visiting a mid-level area at the beginning, and resized the landmass to 1/3rd keeping all the current content.

Actually i liked the ending. I always feel sad when i finish a game but this barely felt like an ending so i was fine with it.

SS gets a bad rap. The motion controls are pretty shitty and take a long time to get used to but I fucking loved flying the loftwing, had some of the most beautiful zones in the franchise (though I wish they were a little less linear), and it was probably the most vanilla adventurer defeats evil stories ever (which I can never get enough of).]
Also Ballad of the Goddess is the hands down best music in the franchise.
