Fuck no.

It lacked the fucking HUGE library of the PS2 and the awesome exclusives of both the PS2 and Gamecube.

It was a solid console, but save for a few pretty ordinary exclusives it was just a budget PC for multiplats.

PS2 and Gamecube both had better libraries than the Xbox. Only a dudebrofart would think that Halo 2 was the best game of that gen. I'd even argue that the first game was better. H2 was an unfinished, disappointing, glitchy mess.

Xbox was definitely a must own console, but the PS2 library is just too big and had too many good exclusives. It also has my favorite game of all time (Shadows of the Colossus) so I'm obviously biased, but Xbox doesn't fall behind too much since Breakdown is also one of my favorite games.

It has a handful of worthwhile exclusives (mainly Sega titles), but overall, I'll take PS2 over it due to sheer amount of games alone, and even Gamecube, which has more worthwhile exclusives than Xbox, and multiplats on GC are also pretty good.

I only owned a Xbox and no, PS2 completely devastated it.
All Xbox had going for it was Halo and a couple of Dreamcast ports (PSO and JetSetRadio)

PS1 and PS2 were by far the best consoles of their respective generations. There's no arguing with a vastly superior and more diverse library, regardless of hardware power.
