What you're looking for isn't really creativity. It's creativity you like and would buy as a product. There's plenty of creative people who never pop up on your radar because you just gloss over their "creativity" for the reason that it just doesn't interest you or that you don't find it appealing.
Getting a successful franchise off the ground is more about luck and timing rather than good ideas no matter what you may think. Once you have proof of a successful mold through which you can shape your future ideas it's rarely a smart decision to depart from it for many reasons but chiefly that video games are not necessary house appliances or food or other vital products one needs to lead a decent life. When times get tough, entertainment is the first thing to go.
