Pretty much all towns drop the game to 20 fps but you don't do any combat there so it doesn't matter much. Definitely worth it if you don't have a switch and don't plan to get one soon.

basically this, it mostly runs the same as Switch but has bad slowdown when in rains in the jungle in Faron (and unfortunately it rains often), and about half the towns have choppy frames - luckily there's no action within towns, at least. Other than that, the only differences are lower res and the LoD isn't as high (but this is almost unnoticeable due to the lower res anyway).

It's a small mechanic. You can't say "muh immersion" in the same game which allows you to pause everything and eat enough food to feed small countries, or surf through the air on trees. Either everything is too gamey and it breaks the immersion or you'd have to nitpick the other little things too, which would look childish.
