-give the game a hint of exploration like the boo mansion
-no fucking backtracking like TTYD, don't do stuff that's a slog on repeat playthroughts like glitz pit

-if possible make it more challenging or have a mode to do so

If you allow new areas it will kill the old nostalgia feeling which is what I was aiming for

Adding extensions or new rooms to areas that could have easily had areas in the back that were unaccessible before makes the game seem the same except new.

I see no other way to expand and yet keep the Mushroom Kingdom the same.
