There are people on this board that think Grand Theft Auto copy

Every time I played it, I asked myself why I just wasn't playing GTA.

2 had a better balance between serious and whacky, and a lot of the stuff in 4 what is impactful is due to the fact that it was set up so well in 2.

3 is a good game, but the story is a total mess. The guy you think is the main villain just dies when you drop a ball on him, and it's not even mentioned for a bit, so you aren't totally sure he died. Gat is written out to no effect because the actor was busy. 4 did a great job weaving the early games and 3 together to still feel like it was one big story, even though logically it was all over the place.
