I think there is no patched PS2 version. The DS version looks slightly worse (the original game looks like ass) but the difference isnt that big. The DS has more sidequests and costumes but the soundtrack was downgraded to sound more chiptune-y due to the DS capabilities, shame cause it has some pretty nice songs.
