None that I can see. Do it up if you want though, especially on a modern computer that doesn't get sluggish going through a graphical menu list of games. You always want to have some space available though for random game disk writes.

And downloading and installing a game doesn't really take that long these days. I just have 10 - 15 loaded out of my list of 171.

Kinda. if steam goes caput then you have all your games available to you, just download a crack and play.
