Dylan Cuthbert (one of the devs from Argonaut who worked on SF2) says that the ROM that is on the Internet has some kind of "roguelike" feature that was never implemented.

SF2 was pulled from release after it had been finished. He said that the game was polished and QA'd anyway after they got the notice that it wouldn't be pressed so there is a golden master ROM of the game that has been in Nintendo's vaults all these years.

It looks really nice, and will be hackable in under a year like the NES classic was. SNES was my first console, so I'd love to have the entire library packed into a mini version of it. Plus the box looks almost exactly like the one I had a as a kid. Nostalgia is a powerful drug.

When they make an N64 classic, and then a Gamecube classic, younger anons who grew up with those will understand.
