It's funny how you encounter nothing but cynicism regarding the current state of video games, EXCEPT when it comes to exclusives that were never ported to pc, those are apparently the holy grail of vidya. But god forbid they are eventually ported anyway, because then they were never good.

In other words, the only thing that satisfies some of you cunts isn't "good games" but it's specifically "games that only I can enjoy and not others".

Westerns are dead genre, both in film and games. Even a complete pile of dogshit like Gun is fondly remembered simply because it satisfied that Western craving during a massive drought.

RDR was an 7/10 Western game but gets treated like a 10/10 because there are so few Western themed games.

Personally I like the time period and felt that while the game still had many, many faults; it was at least a semi-accurate depiction of the early 1900's, at least more so than most depictions of that era and part of the world.

i'm not actually defending consoles, i've been playing on pc exclusively for 10+ years, i just don't find enjoyment in mobas/competetive fps/mmos/sandbox games anymore

there's also some ps4 exclusives i've been wanting to play, so that's what i'm gonna do
i'll still have my pc if something worth playing gets released on pc

Rockstar, more often than not, does port their games to PC after a year (or in GTA V's case, 2 years).
If previous titles are any indicator that there will be a port to PC, then you can expect one in the spring of 2018/19.
