Is this game any good? I just finished the previous one and it left me wanting more stealth goodness.
People give it more shit than it deserves. Prior to playing it myself I've seen people here say it's nothing like the prior games, which is downright bullshit. You can see they tried to make it as similar and loyal to the previous two games as possible with the given engine and I think they did pretty well in that regard. Hell, the cutscenes are in the same style as they were in the previous games, there's familiar voices (guards), and even familiar sound effects and shit like that. Stealth is pretty much the same as the previous games, different floors make different noises, staying in dark areas, meter at the bottom of the screen, etc.
I don't think the level design is as good as the first two games, but it's not terrible. The game has a hub which I personally got a little tired of.
Overall I don't think it's as good as the previous two games, you might like it.

Shalebridge Cradle alone makes it worth playing.

This anon is correct, Shalebridge Cradle is one of the best levels in any video game.
Played the first two Thief games before T:DS and I enjoyed it.
Also this >>384930070 sums it all up.
underrated
It's OK
Lack of FM's hurts it

It's worth a playthrough, but if you just finished Thief 2, then I'd wait a bit. Play some really shitty games as a palate cleanser.
Every mission is chopped into pieces because of console limitations, the sound design is nowhere near as good as Thief/2, there's no more rope arrows, and the entire game has a worthless hub that adds absolutely fuck all but a fucking commute, since you have to schlep all across the goddamn map to sell the stuff you steal and buy more supplies because only certain vendors take certain things or sell certain things. Then, to make matters worse, the last like two missions take place in that same exact hub area that you've already grown completely tired of.
One of the many, many terrible things that THIAF did was that it was so fucking awful that people now remember Deadly Shadows fondly.
Oh, and Robbing the Cradle is horrendously overrated.

I was actually going to mention the Shalebridge Cradle and how it seems to be held in such high regard.
Unfortunately, the Sword mission, from the first game, has spoiled me and is my pick for the scariest level in the series, as I've never seen a level like that in any other game and I thought it was genuinely unsettling. In terms of the Shalebridge Cradle, I've played games with twitching enemies and spooky atmospheres, so unfortunately, it felt like I had already been there, and did that.
Terrible. Not as bad as Thi4f but a complete disappointment. Consolitis is at fault.
Down In The Bonehoard is one of the best levels in Thief series
