2. It really does relieve most of the issues I have with Overwatch and MOBAs. No creeps, fast gameplay, the match isn't decided long before it's ended, you can play it F2P or buy all current and future characters for a flat rate.
And to top it off, the devs worked for free after the company ran out of money because they all wanted to see the game happen. It's a passion project 100%.

Once Tripp uses cooldowns there is no reason why you wouldn't be able to retreat to any safe spot. Unless you are literally jumping into the middle of 20 stuns and wasting your stamina like a retard by never removing your shift, there are plenty of ways of dealing with her.
Hell, all tank characters, Sven, Tyto and even Griselda can easily 1vs1 her, so I unless you play literally one character that is specifically countered by her, I don't know why you have this many issues.

Any half decent Tripp is going to always have her cloak ready to escape and doesn't need it to engage. The cloak can be upgrades to remove all debuffs, activate instantly, and give a massive speed boost.

Any half decent Tripp is also not going to hard engage on somebody unless they're injured. She has other jobs she can do in the mean time like countering other divers, and then when somebody does get hurt, she kills injured players almost instantly with her multiple "Do shitloads of extra damage to enemies below 50% hp" skills.

That is like saying, "no Tyto is ever going to engage without having his swoop out of cooldown", no shit sherlock. That's why you stick to your team if there's assassins in the other team so nobody gets flanked. If she has "other things to do", then her team gets overwhelmed by output. If you don't have flankers to counter or even out their flankers, then your comp needs to be on the defensive and keep bundled up.
Any half decent Imani or Becket can not only shoot anyone on the retreat, any half decent Tyto can chase into enemy team easily.

Tyto is not the same character, and does much better in a straight fight. Like you said, there's plenty of characters that will beat her in a straight fight. That doesn't mean she has to be pussyfooting around while the rest of her team does work. She works well as a counter to other assassins and flankers in the interim, and can still output good damage without fully committing. When people inevitably start getting hurt, she starts cleaning up, and being in the middle of your team won't help you. Her fucking slide can instantly kill the squisher characters when they're hurt, and good luck stopping that.

Yes, Imani, Beckett, and Tyto are good at picking off retreating enemies. Tripp is much, much better.

Bloomers are good on points that are just behind the most contested one, so you have a good place to fall back and heal to. Cyclops are good on heavily contested points, but could be swapped for Bloomers. Cerberus are good on your rearmost points to detect flankers during rampages. Haven't seen Drake or Obelisk enough to make a call there.

A rampaging guardian will do a decent chunk of damage to the defending guardian when initially pinning them, if the guardian lacks any built up shields. If the guardian's health is already low, then the initial damage will wound them.

Can't speak for Tyto, but HK can be either built for rapid repositioning, or to hunker in one spot and maximize his offense and defense in Fortify. Learning to use your moveset is just something that will come in time.

Another thing that will come in time. Does your team have a lot of Shooters? Go a tanky melee to keep the enemy occupied. Got a tank on the team and everyone else is locked-in? Go a support like Sven to keep him sustained.

I'm never gonna lie when it comes to my biases, I love bright and colorful shit. I love cartoon-stylized characters, there's a look I'm more immediately drawn to for sure, but I can acknowledge when something outside of my bias is good, when thought is put into it and when it's executed well. What hurts most about Battleborn is that even when they had potential going towards a good design, it was trashed in favor of something more unconventional for the sake of unconventionality and nothing else. Attikus is the only example of this I've seen, where he looked okay in concepts, but then somebody insisted he look like some kind of hideous mismatched frankenthing.

Don't know about Drake, but Obelisk is only used to deny enemy power since it's the only creature that can be summoned on enemy points and doesn't give them Rampage from killing it.

I get the teleport upgrade so I can just throw out vortex whenever.
Speaking of, I can't for the life of me understand how the other vortex upgrade works. It pulls and stuns? But there's no animation for it and the targetting reticle gets absolutely gigantic so I can't tell what's even going on.

Aisling is a jack of all trades who is never really a bad pick, regardless of the enemy team comp. Voden puts out solid damage and can also be a respectable support for his team with his spring.

I guess it comes down to whether or not you prefer ranged or melee combat. Yes, Aisling has a ranged alternative, but it's more for buffing teammates as opposed to raw damage.

Yeah he looks pretty bad if put in a vacuum, but his VA, animations and personality are pretty top tier, and fit him perfectly.
