Depends on what you want. The Dualshock 4 has the best D-Pad and getting the drivers up and running is not that bad, so if you are playing a lot of 2D games, that's the one to go with.

Xbox One controller is probably second best option and worth the extra money over the 360 controller.

I've had an F310 for a long time now, and I can definitely say that it hasn't physically survived well.
I didn't even use it that much, but nowadays the right trigger activates on its own occasionally, the left analog is loose, the right analog will occasionally input right and stick (only changing when moved), I had to actually take the d-pad out and add material to the bottom of the four points to make them register properly after a while, and it was always slightly weird to use anyway due to the 360 style.
Also I think the d-pad has the same problem of sticking right.

Keep in mind, I can't remember when I bought this thing. But it's not the best built controller.

360 controller is good enough for what most people play nowadays and it's durable and comfortable as fuck. The Xbox one controller (latest revision) is an improvement over the 360 controller in pretty much every way but costs more. It does have nice features like acting as a headphone pass through like it does on the Xbox console and also it comes in the elite variant which is probably the best controller available right now but like I said it costs way more than the 360 controller.
