Honestly only worth the money after pirating everything and turning it into an emulation station. Still, I only played like 2 games till completion and haven't touched it at all. The kids used it a lot mostly playing just Dance games.
I honestly only wanted to play botw, fatal frame 5 and bayo 2. I initially got the dam thing after the Zelda u tech demo at e3. Wanted to get that and smash 4 which was a disappointing game really. Everyone still wanted to play brawl mod packs instead. Botw didn't meet my expectations at all but I still enjoyed it though.

One thing I do know is that I won't be buying another Nintendo console until they start taking shit seriously. Seems like I'll never buy one again at this rate.

I like my WiiU. I enjoyed every game I played on it.

Whenever I play a disc based game the system freezes. This happens to all 10 games in my collection (man has the largest collection of Wii U games). It can be 5 minutes or 40 minutes but within that time frame it will shit out. Makes completing Star Fox Zero's arcade mode really difficult.

I've tried all the memes. Changing the language setting. Disabling internet. Reformatting he system. Nothing. Every game, every time. More than 5. Less than 40.

But with digital games I don't have this problem. I can play Wonderful 101 or Donkey Kong Country 2 for an eternity from the (((eshop))).

All you would need is a 32gb SD card (some games are over 16) and a USB drive I guess. I bought a 500gb 2.5" HDD off ebay for under 20 bucks and an enclosure with the y split USB cables for 8 bucks. That can store anywhere between 150-250 games. You can also install games on the wii u itself if you have the space.

The only thing to note is that you just need wii u USB helper.
Secondly, you can just go to loadiine.ovh instead of the long url he gives in the tutorial.
Also remember you have to "activate" the custom firmware by clicking the fw.img app to boot it up. If you don't, games won't install or the games you've already installed won't launch (they'll say the account for the game i has been deleted or some shit).
Lastly, when installing games make sure the folder doesn't contain any special characters like the e in Pokémon or ©®™. The installer will give an error for that and if you didn't launch the custom firmware first(fw.img).

It might seem confusing having read this but trust me it only takes 15 minutes to setup and understand.

The game has too many forgiving mechanics that don't punish you for being bad at platforming, even if you go the supposed "hard mode" route that just means you have less health and less checkpoints. Luigi U reminded me of Super Mario Bros 3 in terms of design. Short but challenging levels. I liked it as well anon. I know it uses the same assets as NSMBU, but it's still a decent game, at an affordable price.

Even some of Shovel Knight's DLC isn't free, and for the most part it's re-used assets. This isn't exactly unprecedented. Last I checked it's only 20 dollars anyway That's like, what, 2 hours of pay in burgerland? For a game as small as Luigi U, it's not all that bad.

A genuine ripoff to me, as a Wii U owner, is MK8D. Paying 60 dollars to add a battle mode and a couple of characters seems like bullshit. I think it all depends on one's own perspective though.

Wii U is nothing like the Dreamcast. Wii U was just Nintendo's attempt to capitalize on another gimmick and using it as a franchise sequel machine with one of the most underwhelming 3D marios to ever exist.

Dreamcast was ahead of it's time with online play and every Sega game on it was trying to do something different. People still connect to PSO via custom servers on Dreamcasts because Dreamcast is that amazing. Dreamcast 2 is a reality in a perfect dimension. Sega is the only console maker to understand what videogames should be. They understood they should transcend art, while still being fun to play and having a wholly unique style on their own. Dreamcast will always live on in memory and legacy, Wii U will be forgotten and will continue to be confused as a Wii accessory until then.

Sega cemented the legacy of add-ons also, yes. They were so cutting edge that their console add-ons that only had a library of dozens was copied by all the other console makers to this day with the New Nintendo 3DS, Xbox Kinect, Playstation Wonderbook, Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on, etc.

Everything Sega tried was just copied years later. Except masterpiece games.

Sega had vision, I loved them and all, but they made a lot of retarded decisions. 32x arguably being the the dumbest one. Dreamcast had promise, but by that point they already burned too many bridges. Sega was indeed ahead of its time in a lot of ways, but they focused way too much on hardware and not enough on building up a decent library for their consoles. Genesis was arguably the only console they got right.
