Best MMO I've ever played. No other MMO these days will give the same feels and attachment to my character and world.

100% agreed. Siren server was the best server.
Yeah, I don't get why newer MMORPGs don't bother making a world that players can actually get immersed in. I think that and the incorporation of the game's community in almost all aspects of gameplay are what make me fondly remember this game.
I don't think MMO's will ever NOT use LFD/LFR ever again, which puts a soulless damper on the genre. I liked that this game was hard, and you had to make connections to get stuff done, despite its drawbacks (not enough people at your level range, interest, etc.).
Hunting NM's for badass gear was a lot of fun for me, though. Even little things like the level 10 Katana from the sheep in Bastok felt rewarding.

MMOs like this won't ever comeback. People can now search for an answer 5 minutes after X content has been released, making the immersion and adventure feel lessen since you can just autorun to X location and get your reward.
Strategies are also copy pasted from other players and most of the time those strategies become the norm.

Best MMO and best job system in any FF game.
Grindfest, bland environment, awful controls, boring combat
muh nostalgia tho

I really wish they'd adapt it into a single-player game - the world and characters are fantastic, but most "FF fans" won't give it the time of day, and SE would rather promote XIV nowadays.
It might be worthwhile to make some documentary-style videos about the game world and characters to educate the general audience, but there's so much ground to cover it's hard to know where to even start...
