I couldn't get into it that much. It really wasn't fun like LBP, and even so only the first LBP was fun for me. It's hard for me to pinpoint why exactly, maybe it just didn't feel fresh after the first one.

I couldn't take Tearaway seriously and just played it in the most immature, silly way possible.

You play you, and you have to guide an animate parcel through a colourful papercraft landscape to deliver itself.

It's a puzzle platformer that uses all the Vita's input functions for its gameplay, including the camera. The puzzles combine the controls you would expect of a platformer with the more unorthodox touch surfaces and camera.

I've never played the PS4 version (btw there's a PS4 version) but they said it was reimagining, which makes sense as the puzzles would have had to be completely reworked for the lack of camera or rear touchpad.

The music is great.

it's a collectathon platformer, with a focus on a paper craft art style
you go from place to place doing little tasks for everyone
the platforming can get surprisingly tough once it get's going. the jumping and other other mechanics may seem limited at first, but the levels are clearly built around it, giving you more mechanics as the game goes on.
the game is usually segmented into platform area or town/quest area
the combat is mainly pick up junk and throw it at enemies, or blind and confuse them with light
the paper craft and camera features are very hit or miss for people. you are either into that hipster artsy fartsy shit or you aren't. it is charming and well done though. the game has lots of personality and is going for a very specific style

it's a walking simulator with incredibly good "papercraft" art style, dedicated to use every single hardware gimmick Vita has. It also incorporates player's """creative input""" through shit like "hey, anon - cut out paper mittens from this poor NPC in cold" and stuff like that. Or "whisper something into microphone to wake up that character".
They never over-use any of those, so it's never annoying.
