Don't have one anymore. I guess it'd be cool if Rift went sub based, wasn't ded, and stopped having a cash shop for anything other than cosmetics. Oh and balanced soul trees. But what I want from an MMO these days doesn't really exist. I want something with combat like Dark Messiah and a focus on doing meaningful, challenging content (professions, raids, world bosses, etc.) at ALL levels instead of rushing straight to level cap to do it, or just remove player level entirely and introduce an alternative system.

The current situation is that Odin(as /rog/ calls it, REEEEEE:Start) has over 5000 people in it and it's infested with bots. Lag over 1 second across the board. Warp Portal is garbage and instead of implementing proper anti-botting systems or improving the current servers with more Hardware, they're releasing a new Frigg server. They'll merge Frigg into Odin every X months as regularly-scheduled merges.

In other words, instead of fixing bots, they're doubling the number of maps, monster spawns, and MvP drops. They're REWARDING YOU for botting on both servers, which will eventually be merged into one.

The execution itself is garbage. It's 100% Renewal mechanics, except no EXP/DROP penalty for level difference. The spawns are retarded in some cases(different from Renewal and Classic locations), and stuff that can't even be used by the current classes still drops(trans equipment when you can only go the first 2-1 classes at this point). It's the worst parts of Renewal imported into the worst parts of Classic.

Got bored as shit doing nothing, so I resubbed for 1 month. I cancelled around 1 week ago and my time runs exactly 1 day from the release of Path of Exile 3.0, so it works out wonderfully.

PoE 3.0 will hopefully keep me going for a few months ideally.

This is why FFXI is such a good MMO, despite being in its twilight years, its nearly 100% horizontal progression, you can upgrade almost every piece of meaningful old gear, and its not even completely futile, as some of it serves a purpose besides "I just don't have escha shit yet", cause of how gear swapping works in that game.

I feel like MMOs are dying because of this theme park shit being the only thing developers use. DFO is a completely different beast though, I guess. You can only expect so much from a beat em up MMO, then you have the whole gambling and korean gook culture aspect of it

Blue Burst was garbage because they axed a lot of class versatility by making even more shit class specific, like removing the ability for hunters to use shit like spread needle, or limiting what classes can cast what spells, making HUnewearl basically pointless.

I wish the way weapons work was revamped so that they do not make you switch class, but rather every class can choose from a variety of them
I was hoping the addition of Red Mages would bring that feature and I really don't see why not

I also wish the way Jobs and Classes work was revamped so that classes unlock jobs and that's that, you just move on to that class rather than gaining class XP through the corresponding job and using the class skills all the while.
That way they'd have more freedom to add new jobs and who knows, maybe there'd be a way to make classes good at high level too so it's more a choice and a change than a straight upgrade
I really don't see why a Gladiator should be a shitty paladin

I was doing 14 for a while, trying to play catch-up on the quests.

It's just too much shit to do. I made it to about quest 70 of the 7th era questline out of 100+ and I can't couldn't go on.

The game is build with a lot of catch up mechanic and has weekly lookout.
Meaning that, you don't have to play 24/7 in fear of getting left behind by people farming all day for their stuff.
Even the producer/director encourage people to drop their sub in between patches and play other things.
