When I played Mass Effect 3 I fucked up so badly that my waifu (Tali) killed herself and my buddeh (Legion) killed himself, too.

I abandoned the galaxy, never played ME3 again and thus have never seen the shitty ending because in my ending, the reapers obliterated the whole galaxy.

Not true about zelda. Ocarina of time is a lot darker than people remember it. For instance castle town was razed. The people who made it out don't reflect the entire population and there is a solider who dies in front of you as well. Then the carpenters lost son, shit like that. Link's awakening is a fucking feel ride after a certain point. Twilight princess is edgy to be edgy.

This is one reason why sticking to such strictly standard designs doesn't always do any favors, but it still could have been handled better. You could have had to give the shy guy a rather particular card before hearing his story on the train, and then at this point in the game, you just beat him quietly and then he drops that card.
