In order to deal damage you had to get rid of the orbs, which were all magic. And the boss could randomly Charm party members IIRC or put them to sleep, which needed an RNG roll on the not playable girl to fix their status ailment. Take Nyx Avatar and make it worse, basically.

Then in DDS2 they brought back the bat faggot for hell on Earth at the last hour of the game. DDS2 didn't want me to complete it and I'm OK with that, fuck out of here with that bat bos.
