This isn't a healthy business model, it's not something you should be encouraging if you care about gameplay or quality.
It really speaks volumes about a developer when a franchise has like 20+ games, drama CDs, and a fucking anime, AND YET the series is so fucking shallow that people will resort to spamming lewd pics and talking about which tales they want to fuck, because they certainly don't give 2 shits about the games, they're just a chore to get to the cutscenes.
It also doesn't help that bamco localization team constantly lurks in 4chan and reddit and takes their stupid memes and INCORPORATES them into future games.
They don't even try to hide the influence anymore.
This is a concerted effort to make low quality shit in an isolated environment where everyone has been conditioned to like it.
I'm almost willing to label it manipulative, since the characters are cute girls and the actively promote these characters they like to use this idealization in real promotional materials, selling garbage.
I went to a con once and a bamco booth just happened to be there and the people crowding the booth were the saddest weeaboo fucks I've ever seen, I'm willing to put them lower than idolfag love live shitters who were carrying around (AND WEARING!!) tons of official merch of their favorite girl from that stupid garbage mobage.

This is absolute truth. I was so fucking disappointed with Berseria. Way too easy, you can just mash and defeat everything on any difficulty no problem. The world felt tiny, the soundtrack was sparse and weak as fuck (absolutely unacceptable where Nip games are concerned) and the story went from being a genuinely intriguing tale with some stakes to generic RPG-tier. Shit action RPG, full stop.
I really wanted to like this game.Because the girls are cute.

For some reason Berseria threads had more waifu shit than every tales thread combined
People only playing Tales for the characters are giving Scamco an excuse to make mediocre games as long as the characters are good enough, and thats not okay
