How did Persona 4 end up having such a better villain than all

How? Adachi just is a good, down to earth villain. In the original P4 he's an especially good character, later games including Golden missed the point a bit

Adach is a deliberately pathetic villain, he has no grand anime justification for hating the world, he has no real long-term plans or desires, he has no delusions of grandeur. He just does whatever he wants cause the world sucks I guess, and as a JRPG villain that's pretty grounded and interesting.

There has literally never been an entertaining Persona villain
The closest thing was Kamoshida but that's about it.

He basically becomes an entirely different character at the end of the game. How is that good writing?
