At what age does one become at least somewhat good at video games? I let my niece (6) play Portal and she seemed utterly confused. She kept forgetting that the blue and the orange portal are linked together and I had to guide her through some of the first levels. I did aim to let her figure things out first, but when she took more than 15 minutes with one puzzle I helped her out with a clue. To be fair it was her first time with a keyboard and mouse but still, she seems to have become a lot better since we started playing on the Wii U together.
