Check out Fire Emblem awakening or Fire Emblem Echoes SOV these games are great but perhaps you might need to have an acquired taste to truly enjoy them.

You should have hacked your new 3ds, but oh well. Kingdom Hearts and Kid Icarus uprising are worth checking out. Uprising has an unusual control scheme which requires getting used to but it's good once you do.

Resident Evil Revelations is one of better games in the series and raid mode has optional online co-op which is fucking awesome and guess what, it's still very much alive. I do play it every now and then.
