Why don't you guys LAN any more? It's so much easier

LAN existed because modems weren't up to providing the speed you needed. People are on 40MB/S now, minimum, so they have no need for LAN. If you want to LAN now it's just so you can get pissed and raid publics, that's it. Now? It's ultimately pointless if you want to play with friends.

all the guys i LAN'd with back in the mid 90s to late 00s are living life now. life fucking sucks. last good LAN experience i had was in college where we had a 2 room, 64 man BF2 match. shit was CASH AS FUCK.

i don't miss carrying around my CRT though, fuck that bulky thing. but it was something magical playing Quake 1 MP at 2am, crickets chirping and wondering who would be the asshole to snag that last slice of za
