It saddens me greatly as an oldman. My first PC (had an Apple as my first computer) was a Gateway in 1998 and I got HL1 when it came out. The mod and multiplayer community was great. I remember when CS added voicecom for the first time. It was basic insults but there were a lot of creative ones. I paid for multiple HL1 and HL2 mod servers but shit got worse and worse each year. Gave up in 2009-2010 (whenever TF2 went F2P).

Got nostalgic a few months ago and downloaded CSS. Joined a server and people were literally communicating with memes so I uninstalled.

I want to go back.
