Okay, /v/ fags. I think it's time we all accept that Valve has abandoned the Half-Life series. Honestly, Left 4 Dead 3 or another Source 2 port is more likely than Half-life 3 or a general continuation. What's /v/'s thoughts on Valve atm?

Valve has way too much on their plate for such a small company. They're putting all their efforts in VR and their other services so don't expect anything for another few years.
Also anyone that thinks HL3 is going to be a VR game is fucking stupid.

I assumed they would release Half Life 3 when they needed to release a new engine as an example of what the engine was capable of, like they did for Source with Half Life 2. But Source 2 has come and been released and nothing, so I guess it's just a dead franchise.

Not exactly too much on the company as whole. Valve has different people working different projects and there's maybe a team of ten or so people working on VR while the other 300-400 are either just fucking around on projects that'll probably never amount to anything because like in Gaben's AMA projects get brought up but they mostly just wither away.
