Is there a videogame character that can defeat Shrike?
Note that he can teleport behind you.
Anyone with magic powers could beat him. Especially if they can freeze time.

>There were rumors of a Hyperion movie in the works
>NO HYPERION MOVIE AT ALL

>the shrike
Protip, the shrike in the books is actually several different shrikes with different goals. Also no.

Stopping time is irrelevant to the Shrike. It exists both outside of time and in every single strand of it. He is concurrently right here right now, while also being present 1000 years ago and 1000 years from now. If you tried to beat him by stopping time, he'd just appear in the hospital on the day of your birth and rip your fetal corpse out of your mother's womb.

Fuck i hope so, can't trust these Hollywood kikes with sticking to the material without injecting their bullshit. Also the movies would make little sense without the last two books, which kind of suck.

>we will never get movie/vidya adaptations of the single best sci-fi property in human history
>>384704549
Simple. Anyone who can weaponize dividing by zero. Hell, it will work on everything no matter how powerful.

The suck simply cannot be stomached. I just want a movie that has near perfect visuals and a great story. They simply don't give a damn. And Hollywood was in the very beginning a bastion of creativity when it was made. Now it's the complete opposite. They lost their souls to the pagan god of greed and bullshit.

I feel like it'd do better as like an HBO series.

>tfw no RPG game about travelling by River Tethys with a loli companion
>>384706487
Yeah. But it would need a shitload of cash to make it look well. The story is already great, but it also needs the proper visualization to make it look mindblowing.

Holy shit this is some anime-tier fighting
>you're already dead

That's Butcher Birds for you.

I get an actual boner thinking about Farcasters and Gideon drives with 2017's CGI prowess, not to mention how stunning they could make a galactic Catholic empire in the year 10,000 look.
