Heck it got even more fun if anything with all the wads now out there. Beyond all the extremely well crafted megawads with all kinds of difficulties (Valiant is my favorite one of all time), you have D4D to keep gameplay challenging yet fresh, you have randomizer mods to really mix up your experience, and you have Russian Overkill if you're wanting to feel like fucking god with weapons so powerful nearly all the deaths will be you misjudging the power of whatever you happen to be weilding
