What model is it? Is it used? When I had a fat 60GB it sounded like a small vacuum running at points and got worse the closer it got to YLOD. My slim that looks like your pic has been going strong without issue for years and the fan hasn't ever been that loud.

Just dust it, make sure it's in a well-ventilated area that isn't super hot, etc.

My ps4 has had the fans get a bit noisy, but never too loud. I recently visited different friends that were showing me some games on their systems and I couldn't believe the noise their fans were making. It was loud as hell. Mine has never sounded like that.
