No. And realistically there's no reason games should take up the amount of space they do already, there is simply no incentive to actually compress anything because blu rays can store so much data. We will probably have multi-blu ray games towards the end of their lifespan though, its easier to just make two disks than actually try to make it fit.

Doesn't this mean download versions are often the same filesize? Xbox One games can be installed from a disc and if you obtain a digital version, it often uses the existing install. They really should compress games. I think this was done on Xbox 360 eventually.

the only reason games are so big now are multiple audio track so publisher only have to print one version of a game.

if a game legitimately needed that much extra space they would just release one version in one language and make foreign language version later.

They do release different versions though. Some games have 5+ languages. Some only 1 or 2 languages depending on the region.

t. bought game on xbox 360 and it had no english languages; just european ones

it was back in 2008, considering the most recent 2 disc game on dvd was maybe 2007 at the time. so it was at least a recent changing of the games
