Minecraft is better now, but you're likely burnt out on it both from playing it and culturally cause its fucking everywhere. I know I am. When I see all the new shit I think, oh cool I wish it had that a long time ago but when I try and play it I burn out fast since I've been through these motions too many times. I wish Minecraft had Terraria style progression so I would have more immediate fun goals.

Fallout New Vegas was an amazing game. I didn't get to play the early ones in their prime so I felt they were shit (no nostalgia), 3 was kinda meh and 4 was kinda missing things.

When Minecraft went mainstream and the servers filled with kids it was all over. I remember friends slowly disappearing and being replaced with hoards of autistic kids. Feels bad man. Lots of good memories playing late into the night with some good guys.

Alpha was an amazing time bros. I miss when I could get truly lost in games and feel attached to them. Nowadays I just kinda phase in and out of whatever I play without much care, and I don't know if that's because I'm depressed or games are getting worse.
