Will people still play these games in 10 years? 20? What about competitive scene
probably, yes
dota 2 for sure, people have already been playing dota for 10 years

I feel Dota and CS probably won't last, but LoL probably will. Mainstream and counterculture hype behind LoL make it too big to fail. Dota and CS completely fail to pull the mainstream crowd I think.

people have already played cs and dota competitively for over a decade you mongoloid, you don't need a 'mainstream' crowd, you need a dedicated playerbase which typically revolves around a game with unique history

lol

>counterculture hype
what did you mean by dis
CS probably isn't going anywhere it might dip back down to how popular it was in the cpl days. Maybe there'll be a big crash in esports betting and the money will dry up but I don't think people will stop playing it. Dota I think is more about how the game develops - they do risky things and it'll either keep the game fresh for ages or it'll shit the bed entirely.
LoL I don't understand at all. I've never met anyone who watches it, I haven't met anyone who plays it since, uhh, Fizz? I keep forgetting the game isn't dead. The major failure scenario I can see here is Riot bungles some expansion move, cuts funding it and whoever is still playing this game moves on to games that actual real life people play.

people won't stop playing league because they're retards who have fallen for the sunken cost fallacy over the years
>>384643359
People still play 1.6 so probably for CS.
>>384644294
It's mostly played by thirdworlders at this point. I've heard the NA server's population dropped a fuckton, but everywhere else are still growing.

great bait
I don't actually except dota to be around in 10 years. The game has had hard time attracting new players and is clearly declining when it comes to players. 50% of Dota 2 players are aged from 21 to 30, old enough to have lived the wc3 custom map scene and dota with it. Sooner or later these players won't be playing anymore due to real life obligations.
CS will be around in 10 years for sure. Even with the fiasco that was CSGO launch, they managed to make it a succesful title. The game is simple enough to be popular in 10 years, unless Australia conquers the worlds and bans violence in video games.
>>384643359
CS most definitely, people still play 1.6 regularly still too.
>>384646886
> due to real life obligations.
>millenials
>having children
>>384643562
you literally can't be more wrong, both csgo and dota will survive while lol will close servers as soon as they will lose most players somewhere in 2025+
>>384643562
Completely opposite.
My money's on HotS, desu. It will cannibalize League once people finally get sick of league, and battle.net lives forever.
Well DOTA is 15 years deep already isn't it?
CS will be around, without a doubt. There are few games out there that are so easy to understand on a surface level but still have enough depth for autists, and CS is one of them. Dota and lol will probably be around as well, although I can see them taking huge hits in popularity as people move away from assfaggots.
