I honestly think they should have waited until KH3 was released to start working on it, Nomura needs to stay focused on a single project, that's how he works best. I'm sure it'll be good though, but I heard they were planning on it being episodic in a way, which would sorta make sense considering how big FF7 is.

3DS is an 8th gen platform and the Switch isn't a mid-generation refresh, it's an entirely new platform. The New 3DS, Xbone X and PS4 Pro are all mid-gen refreshes, Switch is a new generation.

If consistent framerate is important to you, get the PS4 Pro for FFXV. I played FFXV on my 2013 PS4 and it had quite a few framerate problems (not enough to make it unplayable though). Those other titles gain no benefit from the Pro. I imagine KH3 will benefit though.

setting the resolution won't make a difference unless the game has options. FFXV for PS4 Pro has a "high quality mode" that caps it at 30 fps, and a "low quality mode" that unlocks the framerate (most places can only reach around 40 fps). Nioh also has different modes where you can run it at 900p 60fps or 4k 30fps. Nier Automata also has some problem areas on regular PS4 which I heard are better on Pro.

I'm not speaking from experience here btw, just what I heard online. I don't play many PS4 games, but a lot of demanding PS4 titles will definitely get more stable framerates on the PS4 pro. If you have the cash, just get the pro. If not, getting the slim is fine.
