Why aren't there any decent online board games? I have no friends and love board games, the internet seems like the perfect remedy for this but no ones bothered making anything decent.

Look for a LGS / gaming meet ups in your area. Make friends there, both problems solved

Okay, that was phrased oddly. I join public servers for games that I like. I have less than 100 hours in TTS and I already found two groups for playing games. One is a discord group for Republic of Rome and other odd games. The other is a group that plays Eldritch Horror every couple of days.
Even without these groups, though, it's pretty easy to find random public rooms for different games.
