Shovel Knight has been pretty great with it's free expansions and shit. Gunvolt was pretty alright even though I am not a fan of the jpop soundtrack. MN9 is shit though

One of those is not like the others.

Shovel Knight was pretty good, the expansions were a lot better, it isn't close to Mega Man enough though if you wanna call it a supposed successor.

MN9 was really trash, but not trashy enough for me to be able to gain any enjoyment from it. Gunvolt 1 is almost MN9 levels of trash when it comes to design, but at least the presentation is sound. Gunvolt 2 Copen is actually very fun to play and the level design improves a lot for Gunvolt's side, so it's actually a pretty good game. That Mighty Gunvolt Burst game is GV1/MN9 level.
