SFV desperately needs a new mechanic to make it more interesting. New v-triggers would be nice but a completely new system is necessary because the game is so goddamn boring in its current state.
If SSFV is a real thing I sincerely hope a new mechanic is introduced, haven't touched the game in months and new characters won't stop SFV from being a snoozefest.

If I had my way the game would have less recovery on normals with slightly better hitboxes and more active frames all around.
Reducing the amount of block and hitstun without changing the frame data would help to make things feel more fluid too.

A sweep
A regular fierce or roundhouse that's mostly unsafe on block (Mika's charged hk can stay safe for example)
Anti air, with better counter hit detection, since Alex can aa with his lariat, but it doesn't crush counter most of the time. The AA CC button doens't CC grounded opponents.
This would make people try to anti air with a heavy to punish jump ins heavily, discouraging jumps, and keeping the game more grounded, which is one of the biggest complaints about the game.
