Hollow Knight is really fucking good, I'm glad I picked it up during the steam sale. I thought it would be fairly small but I'm 6 hours in and I doubt I'm halfway through.

Also it has DLC coming where you play as the cutest character

Hey, so, does the combat improve between P4 and P4G? I've been playing the original on my PS2 for the first time recently, and I'm digging most of the social stuff so far. But the dungeons... my god. I am NOT having fun in them. And I love turn-based RPGs.

Dungeons are bad in P4G too, and the combat is largely the same. There are some small tweaks tho. The plot, characters, and social stuff is definitely the highlight of the game. Thank god P5 made dungeons actually awesome for once.

It's pretty fun, I'm liking it way more than I did Dragon's Crown. Perfect for a handheld so I can just play in 30-60 minute bursts. Cave of Evils are fucking me hard, though.

Also just started Digital Devil Saga after not really jiving with Nocturne. It's pretty fun so far although I haven't gotten very far. I like the soundtrack way more than Nocturne at least.

It is the sequel after all so improvements are expected. The only thing that could be seen as worse is the atmosphere and some design decisions not directly related to gameplay. This is somewhat a a matter of taste though, if you think light-hearted stuff is inherently better then you'd have no reason to not prefer Persona 4.

Fuckall it is, the layout is always the same and designed extremely predictably. Since running down empty halls is just about the same either way, getting surprised how easy some floors got or sometimes having them require more exploring to map out broke up the pace better even if the layout got retarded sometimes.
The only thing that keeps slowly changing in P4 is floor length and music.

But it isn't tho. The floors are randomly generated. Apparently in P4, once they generate once, they won't change until you leave the dungeon or something like that, but in Golden they change every time you leave the floor.

Bloodborne. I haven't played a souls game before but man is BB fun. There's almost never a time where I feel bored so far, besides the times I have to backtrack to boss arenas--which is honestly a huge flaw of this game.

I'm at Byrgenworth and the bosses for the most part are pretty good with Gascoigne being my most favourite as he's not only the first hunter you fight, he taught me so many important stuff like parrying, being aware of your surroundings during fights, the importance of exploring levels, and BB's playstyle--playing aggresive. Darkbeast Paarl on the other hand was kind of disappointing in that although I died to him four times, finding out he can be knocked down if you hit his legs enough and just switching to a weapon with more damage per hit and reach just destroyed the challenge a lot and the camera was fucked up during the fight. Witch of Hemwick was also piss easy. The rest still mustered a good challenge with Shadows of Yharnam giving me the most trouble.

I have never watched any anime besides Cowboy Bebop, but this is genuinely good. The dialogs are pretty natural, art looks good.
