I never play RTS games. How do I beat Terran mission 5? It's like they can make up for unit losses faster than I can fight them.

Not sure which mission that is given that I cleared SC1 a long time ago.

Though with almost any RTS game its about mastering the basic steps of macro (economy) first to continually produce units

Focus SCV's and a fair number of Barracks to field constant marines and more. Take good fights. Some missions are a time-race given how much the enemy can field.
